It’s LA Comedy Week!

Today’s Featured Comic: Baron Vaughn

2Truths is the first dating app with a sense of humor.  And to celebrate, we’re featuring the hottest rising stars of comedy, from right here in Los Angeles.  So let’s kick things off with comedy royalty, starting with Baron Vaughn. (See what we did there?)

Who is this Baron guy?

Baron Vaughn is an American-born comedian and actor known for his portrayal of Nwabudike “Bud” Bergstein on the Netflix television series Grace and Frankie. Didn’t see it? Well we know three people who did named Jane Fonda, Martin Sheen, and Lily Tomlin – because they starred in the series alongside Baron. Take that you Netflix noob.

Rumor Alert: Is Baron really a comedic ninja?

You bet your ass he is. Baron’s performed on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and has appeared twice on Conan – not to mention numerous appearances on Comedy Central.

Is Baron as big as Will Ferrell?

We’re going with a solid “maybe” on this one. Here’s proof: Baron had an amazing scene in The Other Guys with Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg, where he played a sketch artist. In fact, the scene was so good that Ferrell had it cut from the movie out of fear of being upstaged by Baron. Well… not really. But the scene did make it into the special features section of the Blu-ray release, causing great fear and panic in the Ferrell household.

Where can you see Baron in the flesh?

At the Improv, of course! Baron will be appearing in Los Angeles on October 10th at 8:00PM at the Hollywood Improv. Hurry up and grab your tickets before Will Ferrell tries to have the show canceled.

Here’s where you can stay up-to-date with the latest on Baron Vaughn:
